Go-ahead for Nick Holmes Leisure
Detailed planning consent for an impressive sports and leisure complex, at Solstice Park, was granted by councillors' at the Planning Committee meeting on Thursday 28th June 2007.

The scheme will provide a state-of-the-art sports and leisure facility for Solstice Park occupiers, South Wiltshire residents and the surrounding village communities. Once complete the complex will provide:-
All-weather 5-aside football pitches and tennis courts; dance studios, squash courts, 20m fitness pool, sauna and whirlpool, gymnasium, kids club/crèche, juice bar, coffee shop, lounge area, café and restaurant, with large conference and banqueting facilities; the complex is due to be opened in 2009.
The development is a huge boost for South Wiltshire, Marketing Executive, Alexandra Spencer commented, "it will provide much needed, new sports and leisure provisions, as well as conference facilities for the growth town of Amesbury." She added "since gaining detailed consent we have been inundated with congratulatory messages, clearly the complex is a very welcome addition to the district".
