More than 60 new jobs will be created with the opening in a few weeks' time of a new 103-bedroom hotel at the entrance to the £250m business park development at Solstice Park in Amesbury.

Construction work on the Holiday Inn Stonehenge is nearing completion, and it will be up and running in time for this year's holiday season.

The hotel will provide contemporary accommodation for business travellers and tourists to south Wiltshire.

All bedrooms will be en-suite and equipped with flat screen televisions, air-conditioning and wireless broadband.

The building will also offer two state-of-the-art meeting rooms, which will be available for hire.

Jon Tindall, a Masterchef of Great Britain, has been appointed to head the Solstice Brassiere and Bar which will provide a la carte menu using local produce wherever possible.

The new hotel will be one of a portfolio of more than 1,500 Holiday Inn establishments across the world.

Alexandra Spencer, marketing executive at Solstice Park commented, "The hotel will inject a substantial amount of capital into the local economy. Approximately 65 new jobs will be created for local people".
